i. Overview
Combining platform stewardship with innovation: maintaining the core compliance product while running R&D projects that shaped the company’s next decade. I represented Khonraad in the Wvggz-keten expertgroep, the cross-organisation expert group addressing critical issues in the national care authorisation process.
ii. Strategic Leadership
I played key roles in both corporate strategy and national healthcare initiatives:
- Served as second lead during Visma’s acquisition of Khonraad, providing comprehensive technical due diligence and documentation.
- Conducted technical due diligence for later Visma acquisitions.
- Represented Khonraad in the Wvggz-keten expert group, collaborating with stakeholders to improve the national care authorisation process.
- Facilitated technical integration discussions between healthcare providers, legal authorities, and IT systems.
iii. Architecture & Documentation
I established and maintained comprehensive architectural documentation following ISO42010:
- Authored complete architectural documentation covering Context, Functional, Information, Concurrency, Development and Deployment viewpoints.
- Implemented Domain-Driven Design principles to create a shared language between technical and business stakeholders.
- Created technical documentation that proved instrumental during the company’s acquisition by Visma.
iv. Innovation Projects
The projects I led were instrumental in bringing in over three million euros in grants and tax breaks:
- Haskell project for advance bug detection in property-based testing.
- Enhanced the Drools rule engine to support complex new legislative requirements.
- Privacy-protecting forced care registration app (later spun out as the VVZ App project).
- OCR integrations for legacy paper-based intake.
